What she says: Scott and I met on the ever-so-popular website, Match.com. I had gone through the trials and tribulations of dating over the years, and figured why not? I came across Scotts profile and thought, “this guy looks like a lot of fun!” as his profile picture had him driving a boat on a river. So after about a week of emails, Scott and I planned for a Friday night date. I arrived early, as I always do, and as he walked by the restaurant window I was relieved that he looked exactly like his profile picture, but became instantly nervous because he was as cute as his profile picture. We had dinner which I talked the entire time, secretly hoping he wasn’t turned off by my high-pitched voice. At the end of the night I had valeted my car, and with an awkward hug goodbye, Scott left me to wait for my car alone. I immediately gave him a hard time about it, and the rest of it is history.

We have shared so many new experiences and trips and created many happy memories together. He has shown me a world I didn’t know existed including our trip in April 2014 to London and Paris. We have traveled up and down the New England coast together with our trips to the beaches of Nantucket and Rhode Island during the summer months, and apple picking in the fall. And how could I forget about our weekends in watching every episode of “Big Bang Theory”, and “Diners, Drive-ins and Dives”. We have also created new memories with our families with holiday road trips to Ohio and Connecticut and look forward to many The things I have always loved about Scott are his sense of humor, honesty and easy going attitude. His drive and passion for learning has always helped me to see things differently, and given me the encouragement to be a better person. Scott has always made sure that I feel loved, and I love him every day for it. He’s the peanut butter to my jelly! I realized after meeting Scott that when I stopped looking for the wrong guy to be with, I found the right one I was meant to be with.

We got engaged on August 29, the Friday of the weekend we were moving into our new and first apartment together. We had dinner reservations at one of our favorite restaurants in Boston, Cinquecento, which we have claimed as “our” restaurant. As we walked through the park, as I chatted his ear off about moving and the new places we will go to, Scott stopped with a shaky hand, and got down on one knee. It all happened so quickly with both of us in tears of joy, but right then and there he asked me to be his wife. Of course I said YES!!, and the rest is now our new journey together as husband and wife!!
