The Groom: Scott Zakrajsek
I was born and raised in the midwest in the small town of Chardon, Ohio. If any of you have spent more than 5 minutes around me you already know that I am one of the proudest Buckeyes around.
Growing up I had the fortune to be surrounded by a loving family and many lifelong friends some of which will be standing beside me on my wedding day. When I wasn’t cruising the hallways of the Chardon school system you could likely find me rolling strikes at Ernst Lanes, disassembling (and if i was lucky, reassembling) my computers, and running circles (often much slower than my twin brother, Brian) around the cinder track. After high school I made a quick pitstop at “that school up North” but eventually saw the light, graduating from “The” Ohio State University in 2005.
In 2009 I flew out to Boston for a job interview. It was the first time I had ever been to Boston, and after a few days exploring the city on my own (and thankfully a job offer) I headed off to the East coast for good. That day, a seemingly innocuous decision would go on to shape my future. That decision led me to eventually meet a beautiful woman named Danielle a few years later. Since then time has flown, but she has been incredibly patient with me along the way…tagging along for our travels along the coast and across the pond, listening to all of my new job and business ideas, and is always there to remind me not to skip Crossfit (I can’t say I always listen).
If you’ve read this far you’ll have noticed that writing is not my strong point. Technology and the internet is more my style. I have been working in ecommerce for most of my career and currently lead an analytics team at ShoeBuy, a footwear company based in downtown Boston. The excitement that lies ahead for Danielle and myself is immeasurable, and I (“we”…i need to get used to saying that) cannot wait to share “our” day with each of you.
